Oddly enough, I never surf the internet. But I wanted to find out some information about the erosion at Narragansett Town Beach from the storms last weekend. Rumor has it that all the sand is gone, and that the old pilings are exposed. The pilings are from the turn of the last century, and are the foundations for the old Narragansett Pier, which has been gone for decades. The foundations have been buried as long I'm sure.
So I google "narragansett beach erosion 2007" and I found The Journal of New England Surfing and this gorgeous picture of the waves in Southern New England.
I went surfing and found surfing. Back home. Still no good pix on the beach erosion, but I'll keep looking. This is a total find. Who knows what else is there.
