The Universe is Expanding

I went through a phase years ago when I was sort of fixated on this concept, like around 2003 maybe. And I saw on TV last night that the Universe has indeed expanded. Now we have a concept of the Multiverse, of which our Universe is but one bubble in a cosmic roll of bubble wrap.

I guess once the world got smaller (thank you technology), the Universe suddenly got relegated too.

Is the next step now to figure out who/what/how the Multiverse is made?
