Can anyone tell me where I can purchase effanem crushers?
They're no longer available except on eBay, etc........I don't think they've been made in a number of years, which is sad- the Effanem used to be THE iconic hiking and backpacking hat. As of this writing(3 March 09) there is one available on eBay.They're usually not cheap, but....FYI- when searching for these hats use the keyword "effanem" rather than "crusher"as all kinds of hats are tagged "crushers" anymore.
I just so happen to have an Effanem Crusher that was my great-aunts. I just listed it on e-bay if you are interested.
Okay, now I'm bummed. I have to look around Renes now to see if they might have one stashed away. I got my red crusher two years ago for $1.00. I get lots of compliments on it so I was hoping for another cheap one. Oh well, no one said life was fair.
